Through technical exploration with brush and blade Weiss exhibits a contemporary understanding of a 19th century sensibility in his textural and atmospheric oil paintings. Undertones of romanticism float to the surface of a body of work that sweeps easily across representational and abstract interpretations of nature and landscape.
