Bob and LLoyd Barnes
Bob and Lloyd Barnes are identical twin brothers and theylive a reclusive lifestyle in the 100 Mile House area in the British Columbia interior since the early 50's.Both are self taught artists who paint nature as they experience it as well as compositions from their imaginations. They live off the land by growing their own vegetables and using what Mother Nature provides.Their love of the outdoors and nature in general is evidenced by their care and feeding of birds found in the wild.
These brothers paint for the sheer love of painting and the pleasure it brings to others. The meticulous and fine detail in their paintings is second to none and their paintings can take weeks to complete. The work has a sense of being photorealistic with an underlying truth of naivity. Truly remarkable art by two remarkable artists.
