Elizabeth Dykosky
Elizabeth Dykosky born in Poland but now living in Canada after having immigrated to Montreal in 1990.She has had a passion for creating on canvas as long as she can remember. Her ambition in this fileld led her to graduate from the prestigious college of fine Arts in Lublin, Poland.
This is whare she received her first commissions for her designs and religious murals for the Church of St. Cosma and St. Damian in Lublin.
In 1989 She moved to Rome where she continued to paint and exhibit her works, including live prtraits and copies of old masters.After living in Rome, she decided to explore the world so she travelled to Montreal in 1990, where she was soon to become a resident.Here she showed her works with other artists in group shows.
She then moved to Toronto where she again started with group shows where she showed for the next three years. She had her first solo show in 1994 at the Pekao Gallery in Toronto. During the same year she contributed to the interior desings of the John Paul II Polish Cultural Centre where she also created a large portrait of Pope John Paul II.
Since moving to British Columbia, she has had several group and solo shows.She now resides in Kelowna and shows here.
Her work is unique and shows a remarkable talent weilding the brush.
