Barbara Hofer
Barbara grew up in the Similkameen Valley, West of Osoyoos in southern BC, in an area well known for it’s natural beauty and biodiversity.She studied Education at the University of British Columbia and has successfully combined her
artistic interests in painting and pottery with her teaching talents.
Barb’s painting style is continually evolving as she experiments with a variety of new techniques using water colours, acrylics and pastels.She has attended numerous art
classes and workshops including Emily Carr, Okanagan Summer School of the Arts and Federation of Canadian Artists workshops, of which she is also a active member.
Material from frequent travels to other countries and an endless variety of local
landscapes and animals provide much of the subject matter for Barb’s paintings.Light and colour capture the serenity and excitement of the exquisite rural settings depicted in much of her work.Barb exhibits at many different venues throughout the year
and has sold much of her work to art lovers all over Canada.
