Jim Glenn
Jim's been practicing his art for fifteen years following fifteen years of pioneer style ranching in the west Chilcotin with his wife Sue and two now grown children. Beside his love of Fine Art he's proud to have worn out a few sets of stirrup leathers and team harnesses.
He's always admired and studied the work of impressionists and post impressionists such as Degas and Mary Cassat. He finds the work of John Singer Sargent a wonder and has had a large book on Charlie Russell since the age of fourteen.
Collectors find Jim's art eclectic in expression but founded in academic training at University and the Vancouver School of Art. He has also received serious training in the workshop system in Canada and the United States.
Jim has found recognition in numerous shows and competitions. He teaches oil painting, pastel painting, and drawing for regional art groups. He appreciates the recognition he receives through the willingness of collectors in Canada, the US and Europe to buy his work.
