Luthor Pokrant RCA MSA

Biography

Manitoba artist, Luther Pokrant, studied art at the University of Manitoba and received his M.A. at New Mexico State.

Inspired by the natural beauty of Manitoba ís forests and lakes, his love of fishing and canoeing is reflected in colourful landscapes and water lily paintings.His historical and commemorative illustrations are featured in corporate board rooms and various publications.Elaborately detailed and painted 3-dimensional boxes are extensions of these ideas.

He is a member of the Manitoba Society of Artists and the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.

His work is included in corporate collections such as Manitoba Hydro, CIBC, Arthur Andersen,Nortel, Sask Tel, Shell Canada, British Petroleum, Cargill Grain Ltd, Coca Cola and Bronfman Claridge Collection.
