Lynden’s work represents a personal exploration of culture and identity. Her sculptures, often in bronze are informed by the intriguing stories and myths upon which western identities are founded. The pomegranate is her enduring symbol. For Lynden, identity is multi-layered and multi-faceted like a pomegranate.Lynden’s recent masks celebrate the foliage of the valley and explore the associated legends. Each mask is created in wax and then bronzed. Each is an original creation.
