Born in Yorkshire, England, the love of the area comes through in many of Barbara Mosby’s paintings. She has been fortunate enough to travel extensively over the years and has lived in many countries, as is evident in her work.
On coming to
Canada to live and work she resided in Delta, British Columbia and became a member of various clubs around the area. She exhibited in shows whenever possible.
Barbara joined the Federation of Canadian Artists in the late 70’s and was then able to
take classes offered by her peers in the federation. Some of her teachers include Alan Wylie, by whom she was much influenced and Janice Robertson who also taught her a great deal.
She later received her active status and went on to garner
several awards in juried and non-juried shows with the federation. Some of her paintings have homes in England, Australia and New Zealand.Barbara paints in oils, acrylics and watercolor.
