Tracy Turcotte

Photo of Tracy TurcotteTracy was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, moving to Kelowna in 1981 to continue with her career.
Right out of high school, she began her career in the Life Insurance Industry and that proved to be a 30 year endeavour, holding the positions of office manager and personal assistant! Not much time for art.
But, creating art in one form or another has always been part of Tracy's life, even though it was not formalized until more time was allocated to her passion.
Putting paint to canvas began in 1999 and for the most part, has been self taught.
The exploration of surface, shapes, and different painting techniques provides an endless source of inspiration that continues to challenge her every day.
Tracy's works are mainly bright and colorful and
simplistic in design. The use of palette knives and multiple paint media gives the three dimensional qualities
to the surfaces that she is seeking.
Tracy and husband Stew own Hambleton Galleries and still live in Kelowna. Being surrounded by the works of many artists on a daily basis has given Tracy a library of artistic approaches to absorb. Together they have five great children.
Tracy's work can be found in many corporate and private collections.
