Born in Orillia, Ontario, Christina Clarke began painting at an early age and spent countless hours creating, experimenting, and exploring with drawing and photography.
In university Chrisitina persued the sciences and studied biochemistry. Christina then spent several years working in helthcare before being pulled back to painting.
Her current work is in acrylics, while her subjects aim to capture single moments of light and weather as they animate the natural landscape. Exploration, immersion, and observations in nature are essential to her development process. Christina is passionate about continuous improvement and advancement of her skill and knowledge through workshops, community, and experimentation.
Christina is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and currently resides with her husband, two young sons, and goodest boy on Vancouver Island on the traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw, Snaw-naw-as, and Stzuminus people.
