Heffley Lake, BC
Internationally exhibited and award winning artist Leslie Bolin, works and plays in her studio gallery adjacent to her home on Heffley Lake, 30 minutes north east of Kamloops. A native of California, she moved to BC in 1975, subsequent to completion of her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. The symbol of the salmon as a metaphor for journey is a recurrent image in Leslie's work. She equates the will of the salmon, reflected in its phenomenal migratory story, to our own human potential. As a contemporary ceramist, she combines conventional technology and primitive processes; wheel thrown, slab and hand built clay work to create unique one-of-a-kind raku pieces.
