Denis Kleine has been a professional sculptor for the past 30 years.
Denis works predominantly in stone and bronze but also sculpts in sand, snow and ice, participating in a variety of festivals and competitions around the world. He is an active member of the Sculptors Society of Canada and has exhibited extensively througout British Columbia, Canada and the US.
A BFA graduate of David Thompson University Centre in Nelson, he is now an instructor at Selkirk College in Nelson, part of the Kootenay School of the Arts program.
“I find teaching students fulfilling and rewarding, especially when I see their excitement and enthusiasm when they learn a new technique or create a new piece. Even though students learn from me, I am also learning from them and so I find teaching to be inspiring.”
